On Sunday, October 9th 2011 Kylie was able to go into Mia Maid's now that she is 14. She received her certificate of advancement in Sacrament meeting.
She has worked very hard to earn her Young Women's medallion in the 2 years she has been in Young Women's. It is a program that girls ages 12-18 have the opportunity to do service and grow closer to God and strengthen their testimony. The eight values are:
Faith
Divine Nature
Individual Worth
Knowledge
Choice & Accountability
Good Works
Integrity
Virtue
She completed a 10 hour project for each value and 7 experiences for each value as well. She also completely read The Book of Mormon. It is a huge commitment to complete the program. It is a great honor to receive a Young Women's medallion as for the boys being an Eagle Scout is an honor. I'm very proud of Kylie for taking on the challenge and especially for doing it so soon. I remember getting mine right before I turned 18.
