Ashley got the shingles 9/1/2011. We find out that this is the drawback for the immunizations we give our children the chicken pox vaccine. I guess we just can't win...it's either a bad case of chicken pox or a light case of shingles. I had severe case of shingles as a child and it was the most awful experience ever. I'm grateful that it was a light case and Ashley was such a trooper. In no time she had scabs and was healed up but still not a pleasant experience. It was a little scary with me being pregnant too. I got a green light to not do any of Ashley's laundry (that was a plus) and not be in contact with her sores.
